trying new stuff post

I've been reading about how to increase traffic to my blog. Not because I want to make money or become instantly famous, but because....well because I...maybe I do want to be instantly famous. Let me really think about this for a minute.

This begs the question, why did I start to blog int he first place?

That's answer is easy. I love keeping up with other blogs on a daily basis. So, does this mean I want people to keep up with my life on a daily basis? Maybe.

Now, I feel like I need to google why do I blog? to see what other people are blogging about why they blog.

I hope I don't scare any of you regulars off by this rant, but I think I may have just had a deep moment. So, at the bottom of this post are links that will enable people to automatically bookmark my posts to their del.icio.us accounts. I will also try out a few others to see how they work.

  1. My answer to that question is simple... I blog because it's so interactive and I can learn from other gardeners in blogland. And it's fun!

  2. Danielle, I've been asked this question...why do I blog? You've motivated me to blog about why I blog so I'll answer this more in depth this week, but my original intent was to keep our girls, who are grown and live away, informed as to what was going on in our lives. And you know, a blog evolves. I won't write any more or I will have blogged about why I blog on YOUR blog.

  3. I think this is the age old blog question. Usually it starts out innocently, but then we realize we're talking to dead air if no one knows, so why not just have a paper journal? So, we tell friends, then internet friends and soon it becomes a community! I may never be as famous as Dooce or Garden Rant, but at least there are readers even if they aren't commenting! I do love your blog. You make me wish I had my own yard and I could do all of those veggies and things you do. I have the containers, but it isn't the same!
