Orchids at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress
The gardens at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress are top notch. The hotel is well over 20 years old, but the attention they pay to detail has remained above average. This is a large container outside the main lobby. It's under shade and receives indirect sunlight. Even on the hottest and brightest days, it remains somewhat cooler here because the huge lobby doors are constantly letting cool air escape onto these plants. These *might* be cymbidiums. I plan to recreate this look.

Hey, glad to see someone with the gardening spirit. I think it is a great idea to take pictures of planters or gardens that we love and recreate them at home. Post a picture of your creation-recreation. I know of a wonerful book that details the adventures of a new want to be gardener. It is a good read on your off time, but I guess in Florida you can garden year round. Check out the book anyway for a humorous account of gardener "Diary of a Wannabe Gardener" available at Amazon.com for $9.95. You will really enjoy it. Happy gardeneing.
Beautiful garden and BEAUTIFUL BLOG!
