What's blooming?

I think they call these grape juice orchids. I need to do some research to find out exactly what the name is, but I know this is the dwarf or pigmy version. It's beautiful. I planted it about 6 months ago and it's spearding. This is the first blook since I planted them. Got it from Home Depot during a plant of the week sale. It probably wasn't more than $7. I really enjoy it.

  2. Very pretty orchid. I've never been great with orchids and everyone says they are grown with little effort. Yours is lovely.

  3. If you find the name on that one let us know - I'd love to try it. Most orcids don't do well in soil - is that planted directly in the soil?

  4. Hi Danielle
Its Spathoglottis unguiculata, a terrestrial orchid which smells like grape soft drink when the sun is out
