In Honor of Earth Day
Here's a shot of one of the small things I'm doing to help reduce my footprint. I use a drip irrigation system.
This photo is the top of my upside down tomato planter. I decided to plant pees that will vine up the hangers. The tomato probably won't make it becaues it's so hot these days. To set fruit most tomatoes need 75 degree nights.

Smart girl. :) Keep us posted on how your tomatoes do.
Hi Daniel! I stumbled across your blog and I have to say I'm enjoying it. I lived in Florida as a kid, but I've really done all of my gardening here in Oklahoma... a very different experience!
I love the idea of the peas climbing the hangers!
If you want to grow tomatoes but it's too hot there, you might try the Red Robin variety indoors. They'd just need a sunny window. I started some over the winter so we could have early spring cherry tomatoes while waiting on the garden to fill out, and one of them started fruiting before I ever moved them outside.
