Leaf Spots on Palm Tree

I have leaf spots on my Christmas Palms. I noticed them last year when I planted the palms, but I thought it was normal. Over the past year, they've gotten worse though, and now I need to do something about it. Here's the photo.

I've scoured the internet for the name of this disease, but can't find it. I've tried an organic fungicide/pesticide, but it didn't work. So, now unfortunately I'm resorting to sevin, the bad stuff. Argh.

it would depend on what kind of palm you have to determin wether it is a bib problem. to me it looks like a fungus. that been said it may be leaf yellowing
if it is that could be a problem.
A pic of the total tree would help.
what type of plam is it

  4. Dannielle,
Copper is a good way to treat fungus spots on most plants and trees. It has been around for years.A good stand by and it is not hard on theenviroment.
Tomato plants You can grow them all year long where you are. They are notting more then a weedy vine that puts out good fruit. The trick i have found is what you grow them in and where you grow them???

  6. Never found out what the spots are, but the tree is growing like crazy and only the lower fronds have the spots. I have just ignored the problem b/c it doesn't seems to be affecting the tree. I have other things to worry about...like my dying peach tree. Thanks for reading the blog!
