Mine isn't as nice as some of the eBay gnome doors, but I'm enjoying it. I had the wood, water sealer, brown paint, saw, and brushes. All I had to buy was a package of brackets and a door latch. The moss was planted back in mid-April and has grown in alot. The pebbles were left-over from the tiki hut post holes.

so cute. I can't remember if I asked you this in another comment, but I really enjoy your blog... do you mind if i link to it on mine?
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable. I agree about this being a great blog. I have learned so much.

This is so so cute!!!!!! A freind of mine wants to make a 'fairy garden' and I sent her your blog to see what you did here with the nome. GReat blog!!!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog. I am going to start a blog for Riverview Flower Farm's Florida Friendly Plants. You are an inspiration for me and I hope my blog is successful in conveying interesting and educational content for Florida Gardeners.
ReplyDeleteI came up with the idea for SausEdge that you used with your Fairy Garden. I am sure the Irish Moss did not survive Hurricane Fay. Would you buy this again as an annual? I am looking at other tiny leaved plants for Fairy Garden interest too.
Thanks for posting.
Rick - good deal! Half the moss survived. It's spreading too. The color is so bright. I would definitely do it again. Take care.
