Finished the indoor village scenes
-
All we need to do is put down some cornstarch to make it look like it's
newly snowed. The village looks pretty good. I used all houses that surround
a town...

Anyone with experience regarding vegetative (tip) propagation of royal poinciana.
Royal Poinciana propagation querry and follow-up. I have found one reference that recommends "semi-ripe" tip cuttings taken in the summer and assisted with botom heat in preference to seed (scarification).

The rationale for the vegetative tip propagation seems valid because it is reported to overcome the juvenility (delayed flowering) associated with sexual / seed propgation, which is somewhat of a principal in plant physiology. According to the post seen propagated poinciana can take up to 10 years to flower, although there is no time reported for vegetative cuttings.
p.s. I scarified poinciana seeds by simply rubbing a few seeds against my concrete sidewalk and have placed in water for 24 hours to germinate
This has nothing to do with this post but from one in October. I planted a basil plant in a pot with three coleus plants. My mom eyed me and said I should check to make sure the coleus wouldn't taint the basil and make it inedible. What do you think. Must appreciation for your answeron
I think coleus are toxic. I've always had them planted along side my other herbs. I've never eaten it, so make sure you can tell the difference in the leaves...it should be easy.

Beautiful Rainbow! We have had nothing but rain lately too. But on the upside we also have had a couple of fantastic rainbows this week. There has to be an upside to all those showers. Enjoy your fourth of July.
