January Garden is Bleak
The cold 30 degree weather the past few weeks has killed so many of our plants. The one thing shing like a superstar...broccoli.

Yes, the garden is bleak and bare! Nice to see your broccoli! My bananas were taken to the ground (lost 3 large bunches still on the trees) but the rest of my fruit went unscathed, amazingly! My Ponderosa and Meyer lemons are blooming like nothing ever happened! I noticed a few blooms on my navel orange tree today also. My mango tree doesn't even have any frost damage, and the brown turkey fig is bouncing back like a champ. My flowers, however, are a completely different story...so sad!
