Here are the newly planted duranta gold mounds and impatiens.Below is a photo from May 2007, a few months after I installed the border. I guess it's taken three years for this to happen, but it doesn't make it ok. WOW!......look how tall that Christmas Palm (Adonidia) has gotten in three years.
By the way, I planted my sunflower seeds yesterday! I'm excited. I got Mammoth that will reach 12 ft and another kind that reaches 5-6 feet.
That's an odd gap... do you think water could be eroding it when it rains?
ReplyDeleteMy lawn people get a little overzealous as well, but it does look like erosion from the rain is also at work. The garden's looking good! I never had much luck with sunflowers. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteLooks to me like your garden guy has been using roundup so that he dosen't have to edge! I've seen this more than once, and this is always the result.
