I&#39;ve always had them planted along side my other herbs. I have found one reference that recommends &quot;semi-ripe&quot; tip cuttings taken in the summer and assisted with botom heat in preference to seed (scarification). <br /> <br />http://www.floridata.com/ref/D/delo_reg.cfm<br /><br />The rationale for the vegetative tip propagation seems valid because it is reported to overcome the juvenility (delayed flowering) associated with sexual / seed propgation, which is somewhat of a principal in plant physiology. According to the post seen propagated poinciana can take up to 10 years to flower, although there is no time reported for vegetative cuttings.<br /><br />p.s.
