It is about 15 years old, and a prolific fruit producer. One thing that I&#39;ve learned through the years is that all citrus trees MUST be well drained. They do not like to drink their waste water, so for best results do not put the potted plant in a saucer to collect the run-off. Allow the run-off water to drain away. Minerals and salts collect in the catchpots that hold the run-off water; the trees do not like to reabsorb this. It can cause fruit buds to drop, as well as leaves to fall off. I have observed this with not only the Meyer&#39;s lemon, but also with a tangerine tree and a blood orange tree that I have also.
